New Jersey Tax Court - Review Individual Cases
Search Guidance: Please note that by clicking on the NJ Tax Court link below you will be redirected to the NJ Tax Court website. In order to perform a review and analysis of a specifically selected case, please follow the istructions as listed below. Print this page or make notes for reference in proceeding with your case review.
Unfortunately, the NJ Tax Court website has been revised and now requires all users to register prior to being able to view the information as listed on the Tax Court's website. Please note that you do not have to be an Attorney to register. Please register with the Tax court when prompted as listed below.
Navigation Required:
First: Click on the NJ Tax Court link below.
Next: Go to the right side of the page and click Register Now.
Next: Start with clicking on Create User ID & Password. Complete the entire registration process.
Next: Once properly registered return to the original link (this web page) and click on the NJ Tax Court link at the bottom of the page.
Next: Enter your User ID and Password then click on Login.
Note: You should now be at the Case Jacket Screen.
Next: In the Search For Cases box click on the arrow down and select Tax.
Next: In the Search By box click of the arrow down and select Docket Number.
Next: In the Enter Tax Docket Number box enter the six digit case docket number and then enter the four digit case year in the box to the right.
Next: Click on the Search box which brings up all of the available information for the case. Note: The screen should now list options to select for review.
Next: Click on Final Determination of Director, if listed, to review the available audit information.
Next: X out of the screen to go back.
Next: Click on Complaint to review the initial filing from the attorney listing the issues and
associated details of the appeal.
Note: Click on any other items of interest as listed on any of the screens.
Note: If the case is important to you, check back periodically for updates and final resolution.
Note: Some pages have a Back button in the upper left hand corner to help with navigation.
